Rio Vista Police Body Slams Black Woman

Another day, another punk a$$ po-lice caught on camera abusing Black people.

According to The Sacramento Bee, the Rio Vista Police Department has released a body camera video of one of their officers body slamming a Black woman named Cherish Thomas like they were on Monday Night Raw.

The video clip went SUPER viral on Twitter and Instagram over the past few days.

Sunday night Mea Thomas was pulled over when police saw that her tags were expired and registration had been suspended for two years. During the arrest, a second car driven by Deshunna Payne and another woman named Cherish Thomas pulled up and the women began filming the officers with their cell phones.

The women are warned to stay away from the traffic stop and eventually one of the cops grabbed Thomas and Payne can be heard saying “You’re manhandling my daughter.” At this point, with her hands held behind her back, the cop is seen violently slamming the woman on the ground.

The news release states that the first officer “tackled her (Cherish) to the ground in order to gain control of her while his partner stepped in to take Deshaunna Payne into custody,” saying Cherish “continued to resist” as she “tried to pull away” from the officer.

The entire body cam video is almost an hour long, but if you have the patience you can watch it below.
